Ben Baraga is a Program Associate at CCSI, specializing in investment governance, the circular economy, just energy transitions, and climate communication. He received a BA in Public Policy Analysis and Environmental Analysis from Pomona College, and has spent the past two years at CCSI contributing to market assessments, guides, and curricula across the diverse sectors of critical minerals, agriculture, and HVAC. His most recent publication, The Refrigerant-Circularity-Efficiency Nexus, is demonstrative of his passion for breaking down complex topics into accessible frameworks of understanding.

Before CCSI, he researched drought and wildfire solutions for the U.S. Green Building Council chapter in Los Angeles, worked as a Teaching Assistant for an Applied Econometrics class, and served as Head Tour Guide for Admissions during his time as an undergraduate. His independent research included an assessment of the viability of nature-based climate solutions at the Harvard Forest, and a senior thesis on the sunsetting of California’s first local air quality cap-and-trade program.
