At CCSI, Anjaly designs engagement strategies that translate our research into coherent narratives and decision-useful insights. She works across teams to surface through-lines between portfolios — spanning energy transitions, food systems transformation, investment law and climate finance — and builds the tools and processes needed to capture the Center’s voice and impact. Her work focuses on ensuring that ideas travel effectively: reaching the right audiences, supporting decision-makers, and challenging dominant assumptions that limit inclusive and sustainable development.
Anjaly’s background bridges strategic design, communications, and participatory process facilitation. Before joining CCSI, she led brand and impact communications for global clients such as Unilever and the United Nations. She later worked in the development sector in India, co-designing and evaluating workforce development programs through participatory approaches. Most recently, she supported New York state and city agencies through a public engagement fellowship, developing toolkits, convening frameworks, and coalition-building processes that enabled more inclusive decision-making.
Anjaly holds a BS in Visual Communication from the University of Madras and an MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she focused on applying human-centered design and systems thinking to socio-environmental policy challenges — seizing every opportunity to express complexity through color-coded charts and frameworks.
