Executive Training on Sustainable Investments in Agriculture

CCSI’s Executive Training on Sustainable Investments in Agriculture provides an interdisciplinary approach to addressing the challenges and opportunities of agricultural investments. The program is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to address some of the key challenges posed by international investments in agriculture, and to encourage a rich dialogue about practices from around the globe.
Who should attend?
This interdisciplinary program is designed for mid-level public sector officials and civil society representatives from low- and middle-income countries, whose responsibilities relate to investments, agriculture, land, or rural development. A select number of representatives from development agencies and the private sector may also be admitted. (Please note that you are responsible for securing a visa for your participation. We strongly recommend applying for a relevant visa or an ESTA as early as possible. If you need a letter from us, please let us know. All participants must be able to read and communicate in English.)
Where and when will the program be held?
The program will be held at Columbia University (New York, USA) from June 9-19, 2020.
What are the program fees?
The 2020 program fee for this nine-day training is USD $3,800 – this covers lectures, on-campus accommodation, breakfasts and lunches, and social events. Without accommodation, the program fee is USD $2,500. A limited number of partial scholarships are also available for those who apply by December 13, 2019.
The on-campus dormitory-style accommodations included in the program fee have a twin size bed (which sleeps one) and a private bathroom; more information available here. If you prefer to secure your own housing, a few off-campus options are listed here.

How can I apply?
An online application form is available here. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis until February 14, 2020. To increase your chances of being selected, we encourage you to apply as early as possible. If you are seeking a partial scholarship, you are also strongly encouraged to apply early, and must apply by December 13, 2019 at the latest.
